Good evening!

Do you ever wonder why fireflies light up the night sky? Me too. Let me know when you Google the answer.

Since I've had writer's block for a while, I thought it was time to do some reflection on some goals.

Goals for the rest of June and July:

1.) Apply to at least 5 jobs everyday

2.) Work out at least 3 times a week

3.) Document and track habits

Goals 1 and 2 are straight forward.

For Goal 3, I jumped on the bandwagon of Bullet Journaling. Usually, I'm a very bandwagon orientated person. In high school, I loved Victoria Secret's Pink Line. In college, I was obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer. Post grad, I want to move to a big city and be with a big company. So it was strange that I was feeling overwhelmed and resistant to start *another* art project.

I'm concerned because I want every page to look like the masterpieces on Pinterest (and I'm not great at drawing).

Then I had the realization, I'm creating this journal for myself to understand myself. It's not a display of my craftiness which helped relieved my anxiety.

Aside from the artistic lettering and watercolor markers, tracking my habits will allow me to visually see everything. Food, fitness, reading, writing, blogging, my mood, water intake, alcohol intake, etc. It will also allow me to see patterns which I can use to change current situations.

Overall, I'm feeling positive about the Bullet Journal because I can keep all my thoughts, to do's, habits, ideas, and creative inspiration in one place. In college, I used a plum planner (similar to a passion planner) which had an hour by hour schedule, to list boxes, stickers, and spaces for reflection. With a Bullet Journal I'll be able to make it more personal than a traditional planner. I can have random rant sessions, life coaching notes, and quote pages.

I'll give an update on the Bullet Journal in a few weeks.

"The impulse to write things down is a peculiarly compulsive one, inexplicable to those who do not share it, useful only accidentally, only secondarily, in the way that any compulsion tries to justify itself... Keepers of private notebooks are a different breed altogether, lonely and resistant rearranges of things, anxious malcontents, children afflicted apparently at birth with some presentiment of loss." Joan Didion
